Microbiology
Eman Omran obtained her MBBCh in 2002, and started working at the HIPH in 2003. She received her Masters in Public Health Microbiology in 2008, and her PhD in 2014. Ever since she supervised several Master and PhD theses, and taught post-graduate students at the HIPH , courses on Basic and Fundamental Mycology , Emerging Infectious Diseases, Zoonotic Mycoses and Systemic Mycoses. She has many publications in many reputable journals, including publications on COVID-19 . Her research revolves mainly around these topics: 1) pathogens of public health significance in food, water, and environment 2) COVID-19 related studies 3)antimicrobial resistance and natural substitutes as antimicrobials
