Tropical health and Parasitology
My name is Dr. Azza Mohamed Galal Farghaly, Emirate Professor of Public Health majoring Tropical Health at High Institute of Public Health Alexandria University, Egypt.
I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University and awarded MBChB with the grade very good with honor. Awarded Scientific degrees are Master (with the grade excellent) and Doctor degrees of Public Health majoring Tropical Health, High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University.
My main professional goals include, teaching lectures to Diploma –Master and Doctor post- graduate students (concerning mainly control of health problems in the tropics-sexually and blood - borne transmitted diseases - emerging health problems – critical appraisal and travel medicine) and supervising Master and Doctor thesis. I have laboratory skills as regards serological diagnosis of hepatitis markers, microscopic diagnosis of parasites and T3 -T4 by using fluorescent microscope.
I am interested and have experience in field work. I shared as principal or co-investigator in field studies of (HBV – HCV, schistosomiasis, fascioliasis) as regards control treatment vaccination and epidemiology. I am interested in the participation in scientific workshops and conferences as well as in quality control activities.
