Dr. Safaa Mohamed Mohamed Eassa, Dr. P.H. is Professor in Tropical Health and Parasitology Department, Chair the specialty of Parasitology and Medical Entomology High Institute of Public Health (HIPH), University of Alexandria, Egypt.
She also holds appointments as the Executive Manager of the Training Unit of HIPH. Her areas of expertise include Molecular biology, Immunology, Vector Biology, and Vector Parasite Interaction, Critical Appraisal, Skills for Field Projects in Parasitic Infections, Laboratory performance, and quality assurance in postgraduate programs (Diploma, Master, and Doctoral Degrees) and non-degree training programs at the HIPH.
She also serves on the editorial boards of National and International journals in tropical health, and parasitology fields. Her research focused on vaccination, molecular diagnosis of parasitic infections. She has published 19 articles and was awarded for two. She has participated in the supervision of 7 doctoral and 12 master theses.
She cochaired EPU Egyptian Parasitologist United, Ethics Committee of HIPH, the institutional review board HIPH, Egyptian Association of Advancement of Medical Basic Sciences (EAMBS). She served as Quality coordinator, E-Learning coordinator for Tropical Health Department HIPH. She has participated in community service through fieldwork activities and Medical convoys."
