Professor of Public Health Sciences, Food Analysis, Head of Nutrition Department, High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University, Egypt. Former Food Safety Consultant, World Health Organization, MENA, CEHA. She is involved in teaching, research, training and consultation on food quality and safety. She is involved in teaching under and post graduate students. She supervised more than 40 PhD and MSc students and participated in the organization of many national and international conferences and workshops.
Professor Agamy is a co-founder of Alexandria University Cancer Research Cluster. She is a head of a research group working on “carcinogens and anticancer bioactive food components”. She leads many international projects funded by Egyptian and international organizations including the World Health Organization WHO, Food and Agriculture Organization FAO, Swedish Research Institute and NATO Science for Peace Program.
Her recent research projects focus on health impact of pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables.
